SDA Deploys One Heavy Equipment to Dredge Cilangkap Phb Channel

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency deployed one amphibious excavator to dredge mud in Cilangkap Connecting (Phb) Channel. This dredging work has been carried out since October 2021 and now the progress reaches about 10 percent.

Currently, we have dredged along 260 meters or around 10 percent of total length 2.643 meters

East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Maintenance Section Head, Puryanto stated, his side dredged this 2,643-meter Phb channel to overcome inundation that often occurs in Cilangkap and Setu. Dredging work is carried out within different depths between 1-1.5 meters.

"Currently, we have dredged along 260 meters or around 10 percent of total length 2.643 meters," he informed, Thursday (1/6).

According to him, this dredging work is started from downstream which is located across TNI AD Pusterad on Jl. Raya Setu-Cilangkap to upstream around Giri Kencana Cilangkap Reservoir.

"Because we only deploy 1 heavy equipment, we cannot confirm when it will be completed," he mentioned.
