Jakarta Government continues to control COVID-19 pandemic, which recently has seen a significant increase in number of cases. Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia explained, based on latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, number of active cases in Jakarta today rose to 199 cases, thus total active cases as of today reached 1,593 cases (people who are still in treatment/isolation).

In addition, she also urged people to be aware of Omicron transmission which is now increasing in Jakarta. 84.1 percent or 280 of 333 infected people are foreign travelers, while the other 53 are cases from local transmission.

Meanwhile, vaccination process is still continued. First dose vaccines had been given to 11,954,112 people (118.5%) with proportion 70% of them were residents with Jakarta ID card and 30% residents with non-Jakarta ID card. From that amount, 24,153 people had been injected with first dose vaccines today.
The second dose vaccines had been given to 9,334,597 people (92.6%) with proportion 71% of them were residents with Jakarta ID card and 29% residents with non-Jakarta ID card. From that amount, 6,173 people had been injected with second dose vaccines today.
Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, and intensifies guest book data collection, as well as other forms of PPKM violations, such as in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. The imposed sanctions are in form of social work, fines, temporary suspension of activity, and revocation of business license.
Based on daily report submitted by Jakarta Satpol PP on January 7, 2022, Satpol PP had conducted mask operation and collected fine Rp 2,100,000 and closed temporarily 2 restaurants/cafes and 2 other business places. Hopefully, all residents can be more disciplined and participated in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

By registering online, people can choose time and place of vaccination, as well as conduct online health pre-screening test.
