Sub-district Health Centers in Jakarta Provide Booster Vaccination Service Starting Today

Starting today, sub-district health centers (Puskesmas) throughout Jakarta serve  residents for booster vaccination (third dose).

For those who already have booster vaccination ticket, they should immediately get vaccinated at Puskesmas or health facility or vaccination post that provide this service

Residents who can get booster vaccine are elderly, immunicompromised patients, and other residents who have been fully vaccinated (2 doses) for at least six month ago and already have ticket for the third dose vaccination.

First Dose Vaccination for Children Aged 6-11 in Central Jakarta Reaches 64.07 Percent

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia conveyed, third dose vaccine given refers to history of first and second dose vaccines received.

If the first and second doses of vaccine used Sinovac, then booster vaccine given is AstraZeneca or Pfizer. While if the first and second doses of vaccine used AstraZeneca, then the booster vaccine given is Moderna.

"Combination of booster vaccine is in accordance with Ministry of Health's regulations which refer to recommendation of WHO and ITAGI and approval from BPOM," she informed, Wednesday (1/12).

She mentioned that booster or third dose vaccination was given to maintain immunity level and extend period of protection from COVID-19.

She asked people to check tickets on PeduliLindungi application. The ticket can be used at the nearest health facility or vaccination center.

"For those who already have booster vaccination ticket, they should immediately get vaccinated at Puskesmas or health facility or vaccination post that provide this service. While for those who don't have ticket, they should check PeduliLindungi application regularly, in vaccination certificate feature," she explained.
