Central Jakarta Distributes Social Assistance Through Jakarta Child and Adolescent Care Card

Today, Central Jakarta Government distributed Jakarta Child and Adolescent Care Card at RPTRA Serdang Baru IX, RT 10/05, Serdang Urban Village, Kemayoran Sub-district. Total 288 children and adolescents from 8 sub-districts will receive the social assistance.
This assistance is given in form Rp 300,000 per month in 2022
Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma conveyed, this assistance is a form of concern for Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan to orphans whose parents died due to COVID-19 pandemic. The assistance is given based on Governor's Decree No. 1530/2021 on Amount and Recipients of Jakarta Child and Adolescent Care Card 2021 Program.
"This is an implementation of Jakarta Government's policy regarding assistance for children and adolescents whose parents or guardians died due to COVID-19. This assistance is given in form Rp 300,000 per month in 2022," he said, Thursday (1/13).

Most of them are in Kemayoran Sub-district with total 94 residents. It is hoped that this assistance can be used well for their education and to meet their daily needs.
Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Abdul Salam explained, the first criteria to receive the assistance was children or adolescents whose parents/guardians died due to confirmed COVID-19 case. Then, they should have NIK and domiciled in Jakarta, under 18 years old for children and 18-22 years old for adolescents.
This assistance can be disbursed every month through Bank DKI. In detail, 32 recipients are in Cempaka Putih Sub-district, 40 recipients in Johar Baru Sub-district, 20 recipients in Gambir Sub-district, 94 recipients in Kemayoran Sub-district, 18 recipients in Menteng Sub-district, 25 recipients in Senen Sub-district, 18 recipients in Sawah Besar Sub-district and 41 recipients in Tanah Abang Sub-district.
On the other hand, Ratna Sari (44), one of Kemayoran residents whose husband died to COVID-19 expressed her gratitude for assistance provided by Jakarta Government. She said that the aid would be used to meet the needs of her two children.
"My husband died in 2020 due to COVID-19. I receive information from RT that there is assistance for my two children," she mentioned.
