East Jakarta Satpol PP Promotes Safety in Crossing the Road

As many as 9 East Jakarta Satpol PP officers socialized people about road crossing safety on Jl. I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Duren Sawit, on Tuesday (1/18).

Socialization is needed to discipline residents thus they can be orderly when crossing the road

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budhy Novian mentioned, the socialization would be carried out every day in different locations to discipline residents to cross at pedestrian crossings, such as pedestrian bridge (JPO) and zebra crossing.

"It is needed to discipline people thus they can be orderly when crossing the road. This is for their safety and comfort, considering that traffic in Jakarta is very dense," he explained.

According to him, it was carried out from in front of Klender Baru Station, Pondok Kopi Urban Village. In the next day, it will be carried out in different location where a lot of people crossing the area every day.

"Next location will be at Jl. Otista Raya, precisely in front of Mapolsek Jatinegara or MT Haryono Square Apartment. Because there are still many people crossing inappropriately even though there is JPO in the location," he asserted.
