We ask our personnel to check all existing infrastructure, floodgates, and pumps

Central Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim said, high local rainfall accompanied by high tide could potentially cause inundation, thus the Jakarta Government needed to anticipate and take mitigation efforts immediately. For information, there are several inundation-prone areas in North Jakarta, namely Pademangan, Penjaringan, and Cilincing.

"We ask our personnel to check all existing infrastructure, floodgates, and pumps. Regional heads must be alert and activate disaster posts such as evacuation sites and officers. So, we have been anticipating from the start," he stated, Wednesday (1/19).
