Jakarta - Eco-enzyme Community Teams Up to Create Healthier and Cleaner Environment

To create a healthier and cleaner environment, the Jakarta administration has collaborated with the Greater Jakarta Eco-enzyme Nusantara Community to invite residents to take care of the environment with eco-enzymes. The activity took place at Menteng Park, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (1/23).

We invite Jakartans to care for the environment with eco-enzymes

On that occasion, the Eco-enzyme Nusantara Community conducted socialization, manufacturing demos, testimonials, trials and free eco-enzyme samples. Moreover, residents who came could also learn at the eco-enzyme education booth.

"Waste is one of the problems in big cities. As a big city, Jakarta produces an average of more than 7,000 tons of waste per day. This collaboration is a form of collaboration between Jakarta administration and the community in line with the KSBB Waste program, which is a movement to help others bring together collaborators and related communities in waste management activities to create a clean, healthy and sustainable Jakarta," expressed Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Tidung Island Plans to Have More Waste Banks

He said, the community can actively participate in sorting waste and benefit, either economically or ecologically from processing the waste. This program also runs side by side with other Jakarta programs, such as the construction of the Intermediate Waste Processing Facility (FPSA).

Based the data to November 9, 2021, as many as 176 assistance amounting to Rp 2.02 billion from 15 collaborators with two collaborators committed to realizing the KSBB for Solid Waste. Then the details of the amount of assistance for waste banks were 72, RW assistance reached 98, two assistance related to maggot and four assistance related to waste management of used cooking oil.

"Thank you to Jakartans and the Eco-enzyme Nusantara Community who care about keeping the environment clean. Hope this collaboration can run for a cleaner and healthier Jakarta," he said.

Caring for Environment with Eco-enzyme

The Eco-enzyme Nusantara Community was formed in 2019 for the same awareness and concern from environmental activists on the issue of global warming, waste management conditions, and environmental pollution.

Eco-enzyme Nusantara Vice Chairman II, Paul L. Iskandar explained that the community has a passion in saving the earth from global warming through processing organic waste into eco-enzyme which provides many benefits.

According to him, the community continues to invite people to care for each other and share about the environment and the earth. With volunteers more than 20 provinces, they continue to socialize and invite people to process organic waste into eco-enzyme.

"We invite Jakartans to care for the environment with eco-enzymes thus can contribute to overcoming the waste problem in the capital, which ultimately results in a healthier and cleaner Jakarta," he expressed, on the sidelines of the Caring for the Environment with Eco-enzyme for a Healthier and Cleaner Jakarta event at Menteng Park, Central Jakarta, Sunday (1/23).

He explained that waste is a common problem that must be solved together by each individual and starts from the household as one of the producers of waste. Every household should start sorting out their waste, namely organic and inorganic. Inorganic waste to be recycled again in a bid to produce added value. Meanwhile, organic waste can be used as raw material for eco-enzymes

"We're collaborating with the administration for a routine socialization and education on the manufacture and use of eco-enzymes more widely, by utilizing public facilities in Jakarta area. Eco-enzyme has many benefits and is one of the solutions for processing organic waste that is easy and cheap, thus it can be done by the community," he closed.
