JPS: Very Proud of JAKI's Victory at AICTA 2021

The Jakarta Public Service (JPS) appreciates the Jakarta Government for the victory of the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application at the ASEAN ICT Awards (AICTA) 2021 for the Public Sector category.

Everyone should be more motivated to develop innovation in public sector

Indonesia, through the initiative of the Jakarta Government, managed to win against Singapore and Cambodia in the final of AICTA 2021, which was held on December 14-15, 2021.

JPS Executive Director, Mohammad Syaiful Jihad said, Indonesia had never received gold for Public Sector before, so JAKI's victory against ASEAN countries at AICTA showed that Indonesian technological innovations were able to compete on the international stage.

"JAKI application is comprehensive in solving many problems in the public sector. Many services have become more effective, efficient, and easier to use, without having to download many applications," he mentioned, Monday (1/30).

He conveyed that the achievement was a reflection of the success of Anies Baswedan as Jakarta Governor and all ranks in the Jakarta Government, especially the Communication, Information, and Statistic Agency (Diskominfotik).

"This is a beautiful gift at the beginning of 2022. I am very proud. Everyone should be more motivated to develop innovation in the public sector," he expressed.

In terms of utilizing technological developments, he assessed that Jakarta should continue to be a barometer for other regions in Indonesia.

"All infrastructure in Jakarta is very adequate, as well as qualified and supported by quality human resources. I believe Jakarta can always be at the forefront, both on a national and international scale," he stated.

For information, in the final of AICTA 2021, JAKI's innovations managed to amaze judges consisting of ten members of ASEAN countries and two independent judges from Japan and China

AICTA is an initiative and project under ASEAN ICT Masterplan 2015, ASEAN ICT Masterplan 2020, and ASEAN ICT Masterplan 2025 to recognize the best ICT (Information Communication and Technology) among entrepreneurs and organizations in ASEAN.

AICTA aims to be a benchmark for success in innovation and creativity, offering business opportunities and trade relations thereby elevating ICT power and public awareness, as well as providing a platform to promote ASEAN ICT products globally.
