Progress of Karet Sudirman Bicycle Crossing Bridge Construction has Reached 67 Percent

Progress of Karet Sudirman Bicycle Crossing Bridge (JPS) construction work which is located in front of Le Meredien Hotel has reached 67 percent.

All revitalization works are targeted to be completed and can be used by residents in November 2021

Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Hari Nugoho said, there were several works that have been completed, namely JPS foundation, elevator house foundation, strengthening existing JPO girder, and JPO ladder work.

His side is currently erecting JPS collumn/pole, installing lift house on the west side ( Le Meredien) and east side (Mayapada Tower), as well as production and preparation for JPS girder installation.

"In addition to crossing people, this bridge is also designed to support cyclists' mobility," he added, Monday (8/23).

He explained that there were several notes and corrections related JPS revitalization based on previous field observations, namely improving lightning especially in viewing the platform and strengthening existing crossing brisdge thus people can use it safely and comfortably.

"Karet Sudirman JPS will also be equipped with platform like Pinisi Ship. Besides, pedestrian bridge will be also equipped with CCTV, lightning, load sensors, and elevator for people with disabilities," he stated.

Karet Sudirman JPS, he continued, will be directly integrated with Transjakarta transportation modes. It will be also equipped with beautiful city lightning system to beautify the JPS at night.

"All revitalization works are targeted to be completed and can be used by residents in November 2021," he closed.
