25 Satpol PP Personnel Deployed to Assist Crowd Free Night Operation

The Jakarta Satpol PP has deployed 25 personnel to assist the Crowd Free Night operation which has been carried out since last night.

The goal is to reduce people's mobility at night, which is one of our efforts to suppress COVID-19 transmission

Satpol PP personnel were alerted at five points, namely Bundaran HI, Mulia Hotel Traffic Light, Moestopo Campus, FX Sudirman, and Mandiri Building Traffic Light, and behind Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

According to information from Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin mentioned that traffic closures were implemented in four areas, namely Sudirman-Thamrin, SCBD, Gunawarman-Senopati, and Kemang, during Crowd Free Night or at 00:00-04:00.

380 Satpol PP Personnel Deployed to 11 Locations

Satpol PP personnel on duty would assist TNI, Police, and Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) personnel to block motorists from entering four areas of Crowd Free Night.

"The goal is to reduce people's mobility at night, which is one of our efforts to suppress COVID-19 transmission," he stated, Monday (2/7).

Moreover, 20 Jakarta Dishub personnel were also deployed to assist Crowd Free Night operation. They were alerted at the number of points along Jalan Sudirman - MH. Thamrin, such as in FX Sudirman and Semanggi Underpass.

Starting February 6, 2022, traffic closure in four Crowd Free Night areas will take effect at 00:00-04:00 every night. During the closure, only residents, hotel guests, and emergency vehicles are allowed to pass during these hours.
