Jakarta International Performing Art (Jakipa) will be held again by Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, December 6-7, 2014.
Jakipa 2014 brings "Art Meets Culture" theme
Jakipa is an event of Disparbud Jakarta to appreciate the art development of tradition or contemporary, while improve the capital image as tourism destination.
"Jakipa 2014 brings "Art Meets Culture" theme which means the show is citizen communication media to realize about the culture of people," said Arie Budhiman, Disparbud Jakarta Head while press conference, Friday (12/5).
City Holds Jakarta Tourism Business Forum until December 5Budhiman added, 10 art performers from England, France, Australia, Japan, and Indonesia will enlighten this event.
"Indonesian art groups come from Jakarta and other cities. This event will be live on national TV," he added.
Budhiman hoped the event can be the place for artists sharing knowledge and communication media.
"Jakipa 2014 is free if charge. Please come to the event," Budhiman disclosed.
