Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of February 26, 2022

The Jakarta Government continues to control the COVID-19 pandemic, which recently has seen a significant increase in the number of cases.
In the past week, 310,734 people were tested using PCR
Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia explained, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, the number of active cases in Jakarta today declined by 4,246 cases, thus total active cases as of today reached 48,880 cases (people who are still in treatment/isolation).
"People should be aware of Omicron variant transmission which is on the rise in Jakarta. While COVID-19 vaccination is still proceeding with a broader scope, 3T should be intensified," she said according to a press release issued by Jakarta PPID on Saturday (2/26).
Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 25Data from Jakarta Health Agency mentioned that from a total of 49,557 PCR specimens, 40,636 people had been tested today to diagnose new cases which resulted in 4,675 positive and 35,961 negative cases.
Antigen test was also carried out today on 62,029 people with 3,229 positive and 58,800 negative results. Please note that positive antigen results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all of them were reconfirmed by PCR.
From total positive cases, 1,100,117 people recovered with a recovery rate of 94.5% and 14,585 people died with a mortality rate of 1.3%. While the mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.7%.
On the other hand, the WHO test targets 1,000 people using PCR per one million population per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is at least 10,645 people should be tested per week.
"This target has been exceeded by Jakarta for some time. In the past week, 310,734 people were tested using PCR. While the number of people tested for PCR in Jakarta has now reached 908,226 per million population," she added.
The positivity rate in Jakarta in the past week reached 13.5%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 12%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage should be no more than 5%.
Meanwhile, the vaccination program is continued. First dose vaccines had been given to 12,404,990 people (123%) with a proportion of 70% of them were residents with Jakarta ID cards and 30% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. From that amount, 1,441 people had been injected with first dose vaccines today.
The second dose vaccines had been given to 10,420,089 people (103.3%) with a proportion of 72% of them were residents with Jakarta ID cards and 28% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. From that amount, 7,022 people had been injected with second dose vaccines today.
The third dose (booster) vaccine had been given to 1,271,479 people as of today. Of that amount, 21,941 people had been injected with third dose vaccines today.
Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanctions for anyone who doesn't wear a mask and violate health protocols and intensifies guest book data collection, as well as other forms of PPKM violations, such as in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. The imposed sanctions are in form of social work, fines, temporary suspension of activity, and revocation of business license.
Based on the daily report submitted by Jakarta Satpol PP on February 25, 2022, Satpol PP had conducted a mask operation and collected Rp 200,000 in fine. They also closed temporarily 3 business places. Hopefully, all residents can be more disciplined and participated in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
