Thousand Islands SDA Repairs Untung Jawa Island Embankment

The Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency personnel are carrying out maintenance on the Untung Jawa Island embankment located in the RPTRA Amiterdam, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

We have deployed 6 personnel to plaster the embankment

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri conveyed, his side would plaster embankment wall as long as 19.25 meters and floor with 1.4 meters in width.

"We have deployed 6 personnel to plaster the embankment," he said, Wednesday (3/2).

Temporary Embankment on Semongol Riverbank Being Built to Prevent Flooding

According to him, the work which began on February 19 was carried out to repair parts of embankment floor and wall that were damaged.

"We are repairing it to beautify and make it more comfortable for tourists who use it as a jogging track. It is targeted to be completed this month," he stated.
