Construction of New Channels in Tidung Island Urban Village Completed

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has completed the construction of water and crossing channels complete with a drainage control, locally known as bak control in RT 01/02 and 04/04, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Seribu Island Sub-district.

Hopefully, it can accommodate more volume of water and flow faster, including can overcome inundation

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri expressed these channels have 64 meters in length. They were built to maximally anticipate puddles during heavy rains.

"The work started in February and was completed on Sunday (2/27)," he added, Monday (2/28).

By so, it was expected to accommodate water in large quantities to overcome the inundation that previously often occurred in the area.
