Jakpreneurs Get Great Offers at Expo 2020 Dubai

The success of the Jakarta delegation in decorating the Indonesian Pavilion at Expo 2022 Dubai has brought benefits to designer Ai Syarif and other MSMEs under the Jakarta Government.

They considered the Khanaan collection is suitable for their market

Syarif admitted that he was immediately contacted by a buyer from Seoul, South Korea who ordered hundreds of his products that featured Indonesian cultural clothing.

Previously, he had displayed his clothes in Seoul for the Asia Model Festival. The buyer was interested in his collection because it was suitable for climate and style in South Korea.

"We meet again with a buyer from Seoul today at Expo 2020 Dubai. I think because I point out ready-to-wear clothing and it is suitable for climate and style in Korea," he said, Thursday (3/17).

The same thing was experienced by Khaanan Shamlan as one of the coached MSMEs (Jakpreneur) and the owner of Khanaan brand.

She explained that the offer came from a visitor who saw her collection at Rolling Exhibition Jakarta at Indonesian Pavilion.

She was asked to display her collection at Abu Dhabi Ramadan Festival on April 7-11.

"Thank God, they considered the Khanaan collection is suitable for their market. God willing, the event will be held this year's Ramadan," she conveyed.

For information, the Jakarta Government closed its participation in the series of Expo 2020 Dubai today with various events, such as fashion shows and cultural arts performances.

On the last day, the delegates hoped that all their hard work would have a good impact on Jakarta's reputation in the eyes of the world.
