The South Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency will soon hold a rabies vaccination service at Barito Market on Jalan Barito I, Keramat Pela Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district.

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head Hasudungan mentioned the rabies vaccination service would be held on Monday (3/28) at Barito Market.

"It is provided for rabies-transmitting animals (HPR) such as cats, dogs, monkeys, and ferrets," he explained, Friday (3/25).

According to him, some traders at Barito Market were not only selling birds, but also HPR.

"Most animals sold at Barito Market are under three months old, so they cannot be vaccinated. Only mothers can be vaccinated, so we want to carry out vaccination at the location," he conveyed.

His party had not been able to confirm the number of animals that would be injected with rabies vaccine on Monday (3/28).

"Circulation of animals at Barito Market is quite high. The data is dynamic, sometimes it can reach 20 animals for sale every week. Usually, it is restocked every Friday," he stated.
