Ahok: SKPD Better to Focus on Useful Things Than Advertised

Ahead of the New Year, the regional working unit (SKPD) is publicizing service ads on television. It is immediately responded by Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama, who saying such publication only squandering the budget.

They (SKPD) better focus on arrangement of street vendors rather than useless things

"I was surprised the ads on the television," exclaimed Ahok, at City Hall, Wednesday (12/10).

He assessed SKPD can serve ads because of the implementation of e-budgeting system does not work optimally. If he saw the proposed activity someday, he would immediately cross out and rebuke the actors.

He suggested that the budget for public service ads, should be used for concrete activities. One is for the arrangement of street vendors. "They (SKPD) better focus on arrangement of street vendors rather than useless things," he asserted.

Such SKPDs that have published service ads on television are Jakarta Fire and Disaster Management Department, Social Department, Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade Department, as well as National Library and Regional Archives Agency, and Parking Technical Management Unit.
