In Ramadan 1443 Hijri this time, Jakarta Rumah Zakat, an NGO that focuses on collecting and distributing alms once again holds an Iftar Sharing program for Jakarta residents in need.

Jakarta Rumah Zakat Volunteer Coordinator Sayid Efendy Wibiharso said as many as 10,000 ready-to-eat packages would be distributed in this year's Ramadan.

"We distribute these meals directly to the orphanages and the people. We are collaborating to help the government and Jakarta residents," he expressed, Friday (4/15).

On Monday (4/11), we also had time to break the fast with students of SD Juara Jakarta Timur.

"Our program also reaches school students as part of education about the need for us to share and help each other," he explained.

His party also shared packaged rice meals with fire victims in Kojan Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

"This is our commitment as an intermediary between muzaki or donors with residents who need assistance or Mustahiq or recipients," he explained.

Separately, SD Juara Jakarta Timur Principak Rahmat Ilahi appreciated the program made by Jakarta Rumah Zakat considering it could educate students about sharing with others.

"This is very important to educate good deeds from an early age," he said.
