The East Jakarta Social Sub-agency, distributed the aid to fire victims in RW 01, Cipinang Besar Utara (CBU) Urban Village, Jatinegara. The aid was symbolically handed over by the East Jakarta Welfare Assistant Ahmad Salahudin to the Karang Taruna RW 01 administrator.

East Jakarta Welfare Assitant Ahmad Salahudin said population administration and health services would also be provided to the victims.

"This is already part of our job. We have instructed all related units," he stated.

According to him, the most important thing at this time was the initial handling in the form of meeting the needs of clothing and food, as well as emergency matters, while taking an inventory of the number of affected people.

"Then next is administrative service," he added.

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head Purwono explained there were nine types of aid given. They consisted of 100 sheets of adult blankets, 100 pieces of sarong, 5 dozen or 60 T-shirts, 36 pairs of baby blankets.

Then 30 pieces of field bags, 6 boxes or 36 bales of adult diapers, 6 boxes or 24 bales of children's diapers, and 1 box or 48 packs of sanitary napkins for women.

There were also 500 box lunches for non-fasting residents, 1,500 boxes at iftar, and 1,500 boxes at sahur (predawn meal).

"If they still need it, we will send more as needed," he explained.

Another aid also came from the East Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in the form of 50 boxes of mineral water, 200 pieces of folding mats, 200 pieces of blankets, and five boxes of biscuits.

East Jakarta PMI Public Relations and Communication Division Head Agus Bastian uttered that his party distributed 1,000 boxes of ready-to-eat food for dinner.

"We also send an ambulance, a rapid response unit, and five officers to the scene. They are ready to help residents who need health services, especially if a referral to a hospital is needed," he closed.
