This year, the number of homecoming travelers tends to increase, even though it is not as high as before the pandemic.

"The terminal has a quite large capacity. In previous years before the pandemic, it could accommodate up to 7,000 passengers a day. Now, it has only reached about 2,000 passengers," he stated.

According to him, several travelers at Kalideres Terminal were also waiting for buses from outside of Jakarta to return. Therefore, he asked Kalideres Terminal to facilitate the passengers thus they could wait comfortably.

"Currently, there is a buildup of passengers and many of them are waiting at the terminal because the buses have not yet returned to Jakarta. Hopefully, all buses will return tonight," he expressed.

He also instructed the terminal management to prepare additional buses to reduce the accumulation of passengers at the terminal.

"I hope all goes well. Besides, we also collaborate with the Ministry of Transportation to prepare additional buses to transport homecomers considering the buses haven't yet returned to Jakarta," he uttered.
