Kebayoran Lama SDA Unit Dredges Channel in Grogol Selatan

The Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit accelerates channel dredging work to anticipate inundation, especially during heavy rains.

We also optimize the channel's capacity in order to minimize inundation

Kebayoran Lama Sub-district SDA Unit Head Andrian stated that the 1,000-meter-long channel in a residential area, Grogol Urban Village is still being dredged from Eid al-Fitr until now.

"It is precisely carried out from Jalan Tengku Nyak Arif until Jalan Simprug Golf 18," he mentioned, Monday (5/23).

East Jakarta SDA Builds Channels in Three Different Locations

Until today, five workers from Kebayoran Lama Sub-district are seen dredging mud sediment alongside Jalan Simprug Golf 19, RT 04/08, Grogol Selatan Urban Village.

"This is done to follow up on residents' complaints which reported via CRM application," he added.

He uttered that the channel itself has more than 200 meters in length with a width of 60 centimeters and a height of 1 meter.

"Mud sediment thickness reaches 40 centimeters. We have 200 sacks to collect the sediment from the channel," he mentioned.

He hoped that it could get rid of standing water during heavy rains.

"We also optimize the channel's capacity to minimize inundation," he closed.
