Passageway will Be Built in Kampung Teko

We plan to make Jalan Lebak Bulus as an alternative way to the airport

A 26 meters-wide passageway will be built in some parts of Kampung Teko, precisely at RT 10/01, Kapuk Urban Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. To realize it, buildings belonging 206 households that affected by the project will be demolished.

West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi disclosed that his party has not known when the project can be done. This is because its authority lies in Jakarta Public Works Department.

The road construction project, he explained, is a continuation of road construction on Jalan Panjang connecting Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, with Jalan Daan Mogot, Pesing, Cengkareng. Then, the road will be constructed until the Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"We plan to make Jalan Lebak Bulus as an alternative way to the airport," he stated.

He added residents affected by the project had to be controlled and no longer allowed to stay in the area. As compensation, they will be relocated to the flat and given compensation money.

"But if residents reject compensation, the payment will remain be done on consignment. Regarding locals' wish who ask for flat and school construction in the land, could not be realized due to our project focuses on public interest," he stressed.
