Cawang Reservoir Outlet Construction Accelerated

Progress of Cawang Reservoir outlet construction work in RW 01 Cawang, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta has now reached 40 percent.

We accelerate the work which is targeted to be completed next month

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Drainage Improvement and Development Section Head Tengku Saugi Zikri said that a long-arm excavator had been deployed for land excavation and a crane car to transport and install a 1.2-meter U-ditch concrete.

"We accelerate the work which is targeted to be completed next month," he conveyed, Saturday (5/28).

Two Excavators Deployed to Accelerate Cawang Reservoir Outlet Construction

In building the reservoir outlet, his side carried out excavation up to 3 to 7 meters deep and 87 meters long.

"The excavated land is rather deep because there is a lot of debris," he mentioned.

After being excavated, the land would be installed with 1.2x1.2 meters U-ditch concrete along 87 meters which channeled to a natural river along 50 meters. Later on, the river would be also normalized and installed with a stone retaining wall as high as 1.5 meters and 2 meters wide.

"Ten box culverts have been installed at the location. We have also prepared 20 units of U-ditch concrete," he explained.
