Jakarta's Formula E Will Introduce Indonesian Cuisine to the World

The 2022 Jakarta E-Prix event in Ancol, North Jakarta will begin this Saturday (6/4).

They provide variety of Indonesian culinary delights, such as pempek, mie ayam, bandrek, and bir pletok

Various preparations continue to be made, including the preparation of selling facilities for MSMEs who would be involved in it.

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Agency Head Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo ensured that fostered MSMEs or Jakpreneurs could get the best facilities and strategic locations.

"I ask for the best facilities for Jakpreneur. The products presented are 60 ready-to-eat products, 30 ready-to-drink products, and 74 packaged products," she said on Thursday (6/2).

Apart from 240 Jakarta Jakpreneurs, as many as 20 MSMEs from 10 other provinces would also participate in the event.

Those 10 provinces were Jambi, Bangka Belitung, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi and North Sulawesi.

"They provide a variety of Indonesian culinary delights, such as pempek (fish cake), mie ayam (chicken noodles soup), bandrek (ginger beverage), and bir pletok (herbs beverage). We provide a place for Indonesian culinary entrepreneurs to introduce the delicious taste of Indonesian cuisine to the world," she expressed.

She also appreciated Jakarta E-Prix 2022 committee for providing tents for MSMEs. The tents were considered to have complied with international standards.

"The tents are good and sturdy according to the standards of large events. The location is also strategic. Right in front of the entertainment stage and the giant screen, there will be many people gathering," she mentioned.

Advisor for Jakarta E-Prix 2022 Organizing Committee Faransyah Agung Jaya, said that the facilities and infrastructure for MSMEs had been adjusted, such as selling facilities, transportation facilities, and loading and unloading systems for MSMEs.

"They (MSMEs) can start selling at the location from 08:00 to 22:00 for two days," he added.

For information, MSMEs booths are located in Festival Beach and Dolphin Park area with a total of 75 booths and one large tent provided for MSMEs to showcase their products.

For food products, they will sell siomay (steamed dumplings), abon (beef floss), biji ketapang (Betawi snack), kentang mustofa (small slices of spicy french fries), manisan kolang kaling (sweetened thumb-sized fruit), dim sum, keripik pisang (banana chips), keripik sukun (breadfruit chips), brownies, macaroni schotel, potato donuts, bolu gulung (rolled cake), fish skin chips, tofu skin chips, nasi padang (Minang-style rice with various side dishes), nasi bebek (Madurai specialties), toasted bread, bakso bakwan (vegetable fritters with meatballs), ayam geprek (crushed chicken), ramen and pempek.

Meanwhile, for beverage products, they will sell bandrek, bir pletok, red ginger, es pisang hijau (green banana ice), coconut water, fruit juice, and Indonesian coffee.

During the event, Ancol will be closed to the public on Saturday (4/6). Only Formula E ticket holders are allowed to enter.

The committee will also provide 120 shuttle buses within the Ancol area to serve the spectators who will have free access to various rides and entertainment stages.
