City Legislator Expects Formula E to Have Positive Impact on Economy

Jakarta is hosting the E-Prix event that will be held on June 4, 2022, at Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, North Jakarta.

I hope E-Prix can revive the economy as the pandemic begins to be controlled

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission B Deputy Secretary Kurnia Setiadi was optimistic that the race would bring big profits and enhance the economy.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has a tremendous impact on the economic decline. I hope E-Prix can revive the economy as the pandemic begins to be controlled," he conveyed, Tuesday (5/31).

Don't Bring These Things When You Watch Jakarta E-Prix

From the information he obtained, he mentioned that the Formula E-tickets were almost sold out, only the Ancol Festival ticket were available for Rp 287,000 (including tax).

"Hopefully, Formula E will bring big profits and trigger economic growth in Jakarta. The benchmark is because tickets are sold out," he stated.

According to him, organizing the international event also attracted foreigners to visit Jakarta.

"This will certainly correlate with an increase in hotel occupancy and restaurant visitors, as well as a large money circulation in Jakarta," he assessed.

The Formula E event in Jakarta also involved small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to help them promote and market their products.

"This is a form of our alignment with MSMEs. Hopefully, not only their income will increase, but Indonesian cuisine can also be promoted to foreigners.

Previously, the PT. Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Business Director Gunung Kartiko said that tickets for the Festival Circuit class with a quota of 20 thousand tickets were almost sold out.

The VIP class tickets had been sold out since a few weeks ago. While the VVIP class which is divided into two categories, namely Royal has been sold out, there are a few left for the Delux category.

Meanwhile for the Grand Stand class tickets were almost sold out, even some people couldn't buy them online.
