Jakarta E-Prix Autograph Session Filled with Warm Atmosphere

A lively and warm atmosphere was felt when the autograph session for the 2022 Jakarta E-Prix drivers opened in the paddock of each manufacturer after the qualifying race.

I'm looking forward to this day and I support Mitch

There was a long line between fans and spectators who wanted to take selfies and get autographs from their favorite racers.

One of them was James, a spectator from New Zealand who looked enthusiastic when queuing at the Jaguar TCS Racing paddock to ask for an autograph from his idol driver Mitch Evans, who is in the third place this season and still has a chance to rise to the top.

Governor Anies Greets Jakarta E-Prix Spectators

"I'm looking forward to this day and I support Mitch so he can take over the standings. It will make me personally very proud if he wins this year's championship, because we are from the same city, Auckland," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Saturday (6/4).

On the other hand, Sabrina (26), a local spectator expressed her curiosity about the driver from the Netherlands Nyck de Vries. The Mercedes EQ driver had gone viral because he was the only Formula E driver who had Indonesian descent. Nyck admitted that his grandfather came from Malang, East Java.

"I'm curious about Nyck. He is viral because he has Indonesian descent and he likes Rendang and Lemper. When I met him and asked for an autograph, he was very friendly and handsome," she said.

After the autograph session, the drivers then got ready to race at 15:00.
