PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (FSTJ) has developed a new rice variety, a type of basmati rice which will become their mainstay in reaching the Middle East market.

PT FSTJ President Director Pamrihadi Wiraryo stated the new rice varieties would be developed in the Purbalingga area, Central Java. The development of rice varieties requires a 40-hectare land area.
"Our estimation is one hectare can produce five tons. It's still in development and we can't go into details yet," he expressed, Thursday (6/9).
PT FSTJ Collaborated in Provision of Commercial RiceHe added that the new varieties are currently in the process of being finalized and are expected to be realized soon. By so, the seeds of the new rice varieties could be soon distributed for planting.
