3,941 Police Deployed at Christmas Mass

A total of 3,941 personnel were deployed by Polda Metro Jaya Chief, Inspector General of Police Unggung Cahyono to secure the Christmas Mass celebration in 306 churches in Jakarta.

3,491 personnel secured churches in the city and elsewhere

"We held the ceremony at 3 PM for the security of Christmas celebration. We secured as many as 306 churches," said Cahyono at City Hall, Wednesday (12/24).

Cahyono added, to provide security and comfort for the people who attended the Christmas Mass in some churches, his side applied the open and close security pattern.

"3,491 personnel secured churches in the city and elsewhere. They also served in 120 Security Posts with two and four-wheeled vehicles," he added.

Cahyono continued, the personnel were deployed was combination of Metro J aya Police, Brimob, and all regional police within the capital. The personnel were also assigned to hold a massive patrol throughout the celebration of the Christmas Mass.

"We do a large-scale patrol with two and four wheeled vehicles," he told.
