The Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency holds a cleaning activity called Gerebek Sampah at a giant sea wall project site in RW 04 and 15, Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

Gerebek Sampah is held to overcome the waste problem in fishing villages adjacent to the sea wall.
Jakarta LH Agency Head Asep Kuswanto mentioned that the action involved around 75 joint personnel from the Water Body Unit and Thousand Islands LH Sub-agency to clean the waste.

Due to the small road access, only small types of dump trucks could enter the site. Therefore, the collected waste would be sent to the Kober TPS first.
"We have prepared them (dump trucks) at the TPS to transport waste to TPST Bantar Gebang," he conveyed.
His side had collected 264.6 cubic meters or equivalent to 97.7 tons of waste. He estimated the remaining waste that had not been transported yet was around 21 small trucks.
"It will be completed on Tuesday, June 14, 2022," he said.
He assessed that pile of waste at the location was a classic problem. Previously, the same action had also been carried out in the exact location in February 2022.
