Entering the Christmas holiday, some of protocol roads in Jakarta were deserted.

Riders are expected to be cautious, obey the rules and keeping concentration in driving

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, Thursday (12/25), Jalan Rasuna Said from Mampang Prapatan was almost empty. Similarly in the opposite direction, Jalan Kuningan until Jalan Warung Buncit. There were only about two or three four-wheeled vehicles passed the roads.

Similar condition seen on Jalan MH Thamrin until Jalan Sudirman. There was no traffic density, both on the fast or slow lanes in both directions looks deserted. The same situation also observed in Jalan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Merdeka Selatan, and Jalan Gatot Subroto.

Additionally, Jalan Kalibata also seemed deserted. Jalan Kalibata from Pasar Minggu towards Pancoran was empty. But it was crowded in the opposite direction. The road is always crowded with bikers and cars on a normal day. Plus the number of public transport that wait the passenger carelessly.

"The traffic flow situation in Jakarta tends to empty. But the streets around the cathedral church seemed crowd smoothly, because there are religious activities," said Brigadier Tata, TMC Metro Jaya Police officers to beritajakarta.com.

Tata explained, although some roads in the capital city looks deserted, the driver are asked to remain alert and cautious in driving their vehicle.
