9 Stages Enlivened JNF for New Year's Eve

To celebrate the New Years' Eve, City Government will hold Jakarta Night Festival (JNF) along Bundaran HI - Monas. But, the number of stages are reduced from 13 (previous year) to 9 stages.

The residents are still able to celebrate the New Year's Eve

Jakarta Head Dept. of Tourism and Culture, Arie Budhiman, explained his side can not provide the same stage number like previous year due to MRT project along the area.

"There are only nine stages this year," Budhiman said, Monday (12/29).

TMII Packed by 50 Thousand Visitors

The JNF will start on Wednesday (12/31) at 8 PM up to 1 AM. Two main stages are in Bundaran HI and Silang Barat Monas. "The residents are still able to celebrate the New Year's Eve," he added.

According to him, there will be no more culture parade. It will be replaced by product exhibition from small and medium enterprises under Dept. of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise and Trade Cooperative management.

The celebration will also be enlivened with car free night. All private vehicles and free buses are not allowed passing the area. The visitors are able to park their vehicles at IRTI Monas, Polda Metro Jaya and other buildings along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.

"Free bus will operate after the celebration from Dukuh Atas heading south and in Merdeka Barat heading to north," he disclosed.
