Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of June 26, 2022

The Jakarta Government continues to control the COVID-19 pandemic.

Total active cases as of today reached 8,522 cases

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia explained that based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, the number of active cases in Jakarta today increased by 364 cases thus total active cases as of today reached 8,522 cases (people who are still in treatment/isolation).

"People should be aware of Omicron variant transmission. While COVID-19 vaccination is still proceeding with a broader scope, 3T should be intensified," she said according to a press release issued by Jakarta PPID on Sunday (6/26).

Data from the Jakarta Health Agency detailed that from a total of 10,064 PCR specimens, 8,172 people had been tested today to diagnose new cases which resulted in 1,055 positive and 7,117 negative cases.

Antigen test was also carried out today on 6,970 people with 321 positive and 6,649 negative results. Please note that positive antigen results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all of them were reconfirmed by PCR.

From total positive cases, 1,241,429 people recovered with a recovery rate of 98.1% and 15,313 people died with a mortality rate of 1.2%. While the mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.6%.

On the other hand, the WHO test targets 1,000 people using PCR per one million population per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is at least 10,645 people should be tested per week.

"This target has been exceeded by Jakarta for some time. In the past week, 62,314 people were tested using PCR. While the number of people tested for PCR in Jakarta has now reached 1,035,753 per million population," she added.

The positivity rate in Jakarta in the past week reached 11.7%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11.5%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage should be no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination program is continued. The first dose had been given to 12,553,407 people (124.5%) with a proportion of 70.5% of them were residents with Jakarta ID cards and 29.5% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. Of that amount, 397 people had been injected with the first dose today.

The second dose had been given to 10,726,363 people (106.4%) with a proportion of 73.9% of them were residents with Jakarta ID cards and 26.1% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. Of that amount, 1,553 people had been injected with the second dose today.

The third dose (booster) had been given to 4,034,544 people as of today. Of that amount, 12,220 people had been injected with the third dose today (Note: Data on the third vaccination figure is lower due to difficulties in retrieving data from the KPCPEN dashboard).

Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanctions for anyone who does not wear a mask and violates health protocols and intensifies guest book data collection, as well as other forms of PPKM violations, such as in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. The imposed sanctions are in form of social work, fines, temporary suspension of activity, and revocation of business license.

Hopefully, all residents could be more disciplined and participate in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

Those of you who want to get vaccinated can go directly to the vaccination site. You can register online first through the JAKI app or corona.jakarta.go.id/vaksinasi. By registering online, choose the time and place of vaccination, as well as to conduct online health pre-screening tests.

Vaccination sites can be checked through the google maps app. Only by writing 'vaksin COVID-19', you can get information about vaccination site locations and how to get there.

The Government is still opening opportunities for residents who want to assist others affected by COVID-19 through the Large-scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) program. Residents can assist in form of staple food, ready meals, or funds. Detailed information regarding KSBB can be accessed via the site https://corona.jakarta.go.id.
