Temporary Shelters Construction for Pasar Senen Market Delayed

The temporary shelter for Senen Market Block 3 vendors are planned to be completed in early November 2014 but it is still delayed until now. As a result, the vendors are still selling on the sidewalk along Jalan Senen Raya.

Business Unit Management (UPB) of Pasar Senen, Block III and VI, Ruyani, said there is a delay in the construction of temporary shelters. However, it is the responsibility of the contractor.

"We've handover since 3 days ago, now we will do the numbering stall first, before hold the key drawing," Ruyani said.

Ruyani continued, the drawing key of market stalls will be held in the third week of January. Later, as many as 620 stalls measuring 1.5 x 2 meters will be used by traders to sell until the market is rebuilt.
