E. Jakarta Mayor Prioritizing Street Vendors Arrangement

We'll firstly synergize with the mayors with the existing sub-department ranks and will arrange the street vendors along the street that caused the traffic congestion, such as under Klender Flyover

The incessant arrangement against street vendors in East Jakarta becomes a priority program of East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana. One of areas that will be arranged is under Klender and Pulogadung Flyovers.

"We'll firstly synergize with the mayors with the existing sub-department ranks and will arrange the street vendors along the street that caused the traffic congestion, such as under Klender Flyover," stated Musyawardana, Monday (5/1).

Street Vendors on Jalan Haji Ung will Be Arranged

He admitted, the condition of Klender Flyover reportedly chaotic because of many street vendors open stalls on the streets and trash bins in middle of the street, causing the site looks dirty.

Besides in Klender, street vendors in Jatinegara, such as in front of Jatinegara Train Station, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Gembrong Market and Jembatan Item will be arranged. Then similar thing planned to be done on Jalan Raya Bogor Kramatjati and other areas.

 

"I'd ordered sub-district heads to do arrangement intensively in order to create a clean environment," he continued.

He hopes post-controlling, the vendors could be housed in some guided locations thus they are not abandoned but still have a business. He asserted, 80 percent of his time will be used outside and inside office, as well as regional working units (SKPD) heads expected to report if they find a problem when running duty in the field.

"To provide the best service to public, I would give the time over 24 hours to serve them. We absorb the aspirations from the people and the most important is development goals can be achieved," he exclaimed.
