Inundation in 83 Neighborhoods Has Completely Receded

The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management (BPBD) has reported that the inundation that hit 83 neighborhoods on Saturday (7/16) evening has receded completely today, Sunday (7/17).

BPBD's Center for Disaster Data and Information (Pusdatin) Head Mohammad Insaf said the inundation occurred after several rivers in Jakarta overflowed, such as Ciliwung, Krukut, Pesanggrahan, Mokevart, Angke, and Semonggol.

"The water receded at 3 AM," he expressed.

BPBD Warns of Tidal Floods in Coastal Areas of Jakarta

He explained that it was handled by involving the related regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and PPSU. Even, residents affected by inundation in Bangka, Cilandak Timur, and Kembangan Utara who had evacuated when the inundation occurred have also returned to their homes.

"They've returned home after the inundation receded," he stressed.

For handling floods and other disasters, residents can contact Call Center 112 for 24 hours.
