PT JIEP Wins TJSL and CSR Award 2022

PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) won the TJSL & CSR Award 2022 for the Environmental sector which was held by BUMN Track in collaboration with the Indonesia Shared Value Institute (ISVI).

This award is a tangible form of the commitment of all JIEP people and management

PT JIEP Acting Corporate Secretary Medik Endrawahyudi said the management has gone through a series of assessments, including describing the best CSR programs that have been implemented throughout 2021-2022.

BUMN Track together with ISVI and the entire jury assessed that PT JIEP had succeeded in implementing the best CSR & CSR programs in the environmental field.

"This award is a tangible form of the commitment of all JIEP people and management in preserving the environment in the Pulogadung Industrial Estate through the JIEP Green Industrial Estate program," he expressed, Friday (8/12).

He explained that PT JIEP has a Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program which is based on the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Regulation number PER-05/MBU/04/2021 on Social Responsibility Programs and BMUN.

All CSR programs that were carried out were in line with the mandate and rules set by the BUMD Ministry through Ministerial Regulation number 5/2021.

"Where we must present programs to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and are following the four pillars of SDG's and have Creating Shared Value for the surrounding community and the environment around the Pulogadung Industrial Estate," he explained.

Through the flagship program JIEP Green Industrial Estate, he added, PT JIEP will continue to always prioritize CSR programs that bring a positive impact on the environment.

"This program triggers all aspects of society to participate in preserving the environment around the Pulogadung Industrial Estate or to a wider community in Indonesia," he explained.

As for the information, TJSL and CSR Award 2022 carry the theme 'Acceleration of BUMNs to Promote Economic Recovery through TJSL & CSR'.

It was attended by BUMNs that have the best CSR & CSR practices and are by the 4 pillars of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), namely Social, Economic, Environmental, and Legal & Governance Pillars, and provide shared value.

JIEP Green Industrial Estate is one of JIEP's many flagship programs that focuses on environmental conservation, especially in handling climate change and terrestrial ecosystems as stated in SDG's number 13 and 15.

In the JIEP Green Industrial Estate program, corporations continuously carry out planting and reforestation activities in the Pulogadung Industrial Estate.

As for the reforestation process, the fertilizer used comes from recycled waste from around the Pulogadung Industrial Estate, which is processed at the TPS3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) facility belonging to PT JIEP.
