Governor Launches Program Integration and JAKHABITAT Residential Gallery

As part of the housing and settlement solutions for residents in Jakarta, the Jakarta administration launched the program integration and the JAKHABITAT Residential Gallery at Martha Tiahahu Park, South Jakarta.

This program is launched to integrate all affordable and quality housing and settlement services in Jakarta. It is expected to provide solutions for affordable housing and settlements to become more accessible for the community.

It is also a protection identity for all Housing and Settlement programs in Jakarta in creating a comfortable and beautiful environment for Jakarta residents to live more prosperously, develop, and have higher quality.

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan who inaugurated the program stated that the Jakarta administration had made various programs to fulfill the basic rights of residents regarding quality housing.

“Today is one day before the independence anniversary. Independence marks that we have the right to live in this country with feelings of freedom. One of the community's basic rights is to have decent, comfortable housing, which allows them to find happiness and prepare the next generation to live a better life," he expressed in his speech, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Wednesday (8/17).

The administration took the initiative and has many programs to ensure that residents get decent housing. These programs were integrated into a single JAHKABITAT program, which will also function to facilitate the coordination of the administration in providing decent housing for its residents.

“The program is integrated into a single unit, into a system called JAKHABITAT which sends a message for integration in the supply of housing needs for residents. JAKHABITAT is also an effort to make coordination within the government ranks even better," he explained.

On that occasion, the administration also launched Sirukim and the JAKHABITAT Residential Gallery which will be a source of information and access for residents to get decent housing.

The application could make it easier for residents to obtain information on the availability of vacant residential units from Rusunawa (low-cost apartments) and directly apply for online registration. So, the public can get certainty about the application for the flats quickly.

"We also have Sirukim application, we are all aware that the information needs are in the community and often have to find out here and there, to find information or to participate in housing programs. Everyone can access anywhere, anytime such as knowing more about housing access in Jakarta, they can visit the residential gallery at Martha Tiahahu Park," he continued.

Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Agency Head Sarjoko explained that his party collaborated with various related stakeholders to provide housing and settlement services for Low-Income Communities (MBR) and Non-MBR communities who have difficulty accessing commercial housing.

"They (MBR) can enjoy some services, such as Rusunawa, zero-down payment housing program, widely known as DP 0, Housing Financing Facilities for construction actors, Settlement Quality Improvement Program through Community Action Plan (CAP) activities, Collaborative Implementation Program (CIP), and Provision of Flats. As for non-MBR people who have difficulty accessing commercial housing, affordable housing is available in the TOD (Transit Oriented Development) area," he explained.

The meaning of the word JAKHABITAT comes from two words JAK and HABITAT. JAK is a picture of Jakarta's identity. While HABITAT is defined as a place that supports life and the growth and development of living things in it. The combination of the two words conveyed the administration's efforts to make Jakarta an increasingly livable city.

The meaning of the JAKHABITAT logo is a significant increase in Housing and Settlement programs and activities to realize the welfare and standard of living of residents for the better. The meaning of the JAKHABITAT logo includes three things:

1. Increasing the quantity of affordable and quality housing, which in the 2018-2022 period set a new record: 35 towers and 8,296 units

2. Improving the quality and management of public flats that are increasingly competitive with commercial housing: complete facilities, integration with public transportation, and online services via the Sirukim application

3. Equal opportunity for the community to have affordable housing (zero-down payment housing program)

The JAKHABITAT Residential Gallery built by Perumda Sarana Jaya is located in Martha Tiahahu Park and Transit Oriented Area Blok M. It is equipped with a Lobby, Receptionist, Negotiation Room, Marketing Gallery, and 1 Show Uniti 36 m2 which is a model of the Zero-Down Payment Housing Residential at Cilangkap JAKHABITAT which will soon be inaugurated.

The residential gallery functions as a Marketing Integration Center for JAKHABITAT Assets/Property: zero-down payment housing program, Affordable TOD Residential (Transit Oriented Area), Rusunawa, and other settlements.

It also has an Integration Map in order to help the public access detailed information about various affordable housing that can be purchased or rented, its facilities, can access sales marketing contacts, to the direct registration application.
