City Tour Bersama Delegasi U-20, Gubernur Anies Perlihatkan Warna Baru Kota Tua

City Tour with U20 Delegation, Governor Anies Shows New Color of Kota Tua

To support the U20 Mayor Summit, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, invited the U20 delegation to enjoy one corner of Jakarta through the City Tour using public transportation, Monday (8/29).

Together we went on a tour to see one corner of Jakarta

The City Tour activities started from the first point, namely the Fairmont Hotel, South Jakarta. Then the participants took Transjakarta to see one of the new colors of transportation integration in Jakarta, namely the Cakra Selaras Wahana (CSW) Integration Bus Stop. The tour was resumed by inviting them to take the MRT Jakarta from the ASEAN MRT Station to Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta.

Arriving at Dukuh Atas, the Governor invited one of the delegates, Major Ahmed Aboutaleb from Rotterdam, Netherlands, to discuss enjoying the pedestrian atmosphere in Kendal Tunnel. Anies showed the atmosphere of one of the third spaces in Jakarta, where all residents from various backgrounds could gather and interact.

"Together we went on a tour to see one corner of Jakarta. We also took Transjakarta bus and Jakarta MRT. We also enjoyed the atmosphere of Kendal Tunnel as part of the third room, one of the new faces in Jakarta," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

From the tour, the delegates could see the changes in the Dukuh Atas area firsthand. It could be seen by the increase in pedestrian visits during the weekend at Kendal Tunnel, where all levels of residents could interact, as they enjoyed the changes in Jakarta.

"Here, we see the change of an area that was once for motorcycles, into a pedestrian area. And this is where the community feels that a third space can interact. We all know the phenomena that have popped up in this area (Citayam Fashion Week), as a shared open space has been prepared," he continued.

He ended the tour by inviting them to have a special dinner, namely the sunset on the coast of Jakarta while taking the Phinisi boat.

"We will invite them to see another new side of Jakarta. From here, we will go to the Jakarta Beach area, then there we can see the sunset. We will take the Phinisi boat, where we can enjoy the sunset in the afternoon," he concluded.
