City Follows Kemendagri Procedures about Proposal to Dismiss Governor/Deputy Governor Before Term of Office Ends

Referring to Circular No. 131/2188/OTDA Home Affairs Ministry on Proposal to Dismiss Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads whose term of office ends in 2022, the Jakarta administration is about to follow the mechanisms and procedures, as well as the rules that have been set.

So, we will follow the process according to the applicable procedure

According to the Circular Letter which mandates a plenary meeting with Jakarta DPRD for proposing the dismissal of Governor and Deputy Governor to President, it is done by attaching the minutes and dossier of the plenary meeting.

The plenary meeting is intended to submit proposals by the leadership of DPRD to President through Home Affairs Ministry in order to obtain a decision on dismissal.

Jakarta and Ministry Call for TV Transformation

"We will conduct the process of proposing the dismissal of the Governor and its partner following the Circular Letter. So, we will follow the process according to the applicable procedure," City Secretary Marullah Matali, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (9/1).

The proposal itself should be submitted to Home Affairs Minister at the latest 30 days before the end of the term of office of the Governor/Deputy Governor, thus the administration will attend a plenary meeting held by the Jakarta DPRD, which is expected to be held on September 13.
