Three sidewalks located on three streets in West Jakarta carry the complete street concept, which means that the they are pedestrian-friendly and disabled.

West Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency's Planning Division Head, Ahmad Safruddin said that the three sidewalks in question were located on Jalan Puri Wangi, Jalan Pesanggarahan, dan Jalan Puri Kencana.
"We have carried out the construction of sidewalks and road complementary buildings with the complete street concept, namely roads that can be accessed and used by all users, ages, and abilities. These sidewalks are equipped with complementary road facilities such as guide tiles, ballards, park benches, and trash cans," he said, Wednesday (9/7).

"The concept is generally the same, namely a complete sidewalk (supporting a complete street). However, the three roads also have characteristics, for example Jalan Puri Wangi and Jalan Pesanggrahan with a natural minimalist motif. Then for Jalan Puri Kencana, there are curved accents such as waves or streams and water as a picture of dynamic movement combined with palm trees to make it greener," he explained.
He hoped that the needs of the community could be accommodated and the sidewalks in West Jakarta could be more disability-friendly and friendly to all.
"It has followed the disability-friendly rules. The guiding tiles and the slope of the ramp up and down are gentle, also equipped with a ballard. So, with all these completeness, all the needs of pedestrians and motorists can be properly accommodated," he concluded.
