"Jakarta is a city consisting of mainland and islands. Therefore, development in Jakarta must reach all. Alhamdulillah, this afternoon one of the intentions to carry out development in all aspects was completed," he asserted, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
“In terms of population mobility in Seribu Islands, they have facilities on par with the locals living on the mainland. This port has modern facilities, can accommodate many passengers, and is comfortable. Surely, it will increase the intensity of population movement from the island to the mainland and vice versa, and it will increase productivity," he added.
He hoped that the port itself would be well guarded, as it was expected to improve the welfare of islanders through the ease of accessing transportation from the island to the mainland.
"Hope this facility is well maintained and we hope that it will improve the welfare of the island community. Because we know for several years the program in Seribu Islands is comprehensive," he explained.

These include the construction of Jakgrosir to fulfill basic needs equivalent to land, clean water supply, and waste management thus the island becomes clean and comfortable. It is not only a link for locals with residents in mainland Jakarta, but also a symbol of equality for islanders to enjoy the same facilities as residents on the mainland of Jakarta. It is able to accommodate up to 2,000 people.
