Most DPRD Factions Support Two Draft Bylaws Filed by Acting Governor

Nine factions under the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) expressed their views on the two bylaws filed by the Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, Friday (10/28). Both bylaws were about the Management of Regional Milk Goods (BMD) and the Changes in the Legal Form of Tjipinang Jaya Food Station Limited Liability Company to Tjipinang Jaya Food Station Limited Liability Company.

It can be a reference for the executive to determine future policies

Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairwoman, Zita Anjani who led the meeting hoped that the factions' general views could serve as a reference and assist the Acting Governor in determining policies.

"This meeting is to hear the general views of the factions. Hopefully, it can be a reference for the executive to determine future policies," she expressed.

Generally, the factions in the DPRD agreed and supported the two regional regulations proposed by the executive, as it was in line with efforts to improve the economy and food security.

PDI-P faction in a public view read by Gani Suwondo conveyed that the proposal to change the legal entity status of Tjipinang Jaya Food Station from a Limited Liability Company to a Regional Company was appropriate for food security in Jakarta, which has the largest consumers in Indonesia.

Likewise, with the Draft Bylaw on BMD Management, they believe that this needs to be supported thus public services could run more professionally.

"Principally, they (PDI-P) support the proposal, as the existing regulations are no longer relevant to the development of Jakarta," she added.

As for the Gerindra Party faction through its spokesperson, Adnani Taufiq requested that the Bylaw on BMD Management need to include an E-BUMD application as a form of maximizing digital-based services and increasing accountability.

Then the Food Station Tjipinang Jaya was expected to develop a business plan as a strategy and policy for improving the company's performance according to its objectives, namely increasing community welfare and also increasing local revenue.

"After changing legal entities later, FS Tjipinang Jaya must innovate by following the development of food needs for Jakarta residents that are healthy, friendly, and affordable," he said.

The same view also came out from the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) faction which was conveyed by its spokesman, Eneng Malianasari. They hope that Food Station Tjipinang Jaya has a strategic plan for the short and long term. Besides ensuring the availability of food in Jakarta, they must also be able to increase dividends to the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Regarding the Draft Bylaw on BMD Management, the PSI assessed that this could later be a momentum and a prelude for the Jakarta Government to carry out more structured data collection and administration of regional assets.

"They also prompt FS Tjipinang Jaya to expand partners to food-producing areas solely for the fulfillment of more than ten million stomachs of Jakarta residents. And to produce quality public services, professional BMD should be supported, thus regional asset income is maximized," he stated.
