Strengthening Synergy, Jakarta Bawaslu Meets Acting Governor"I appreciate him (Polda Chief) for paying attention to animals, especially the K9 dog, and encouraging the officers. We (and the Pangdam) also gave our appreciation. Hopefully, we can all give the same appreciation," he expressed, Monday (10/31).
Polda Metro Jaya Chief, Ir. Gen. Fadil Imran admitted that he positively welcomed the K-9 Building, as it was deemed as a form of concern by its staff in treating animals.
The K-9 Building is a form of appreciation for the services provided by the sniffer dogs (K-9) of the Polda Metro Jaya in helping the police deal with criminal acts such as brawls, narcotics, and murder.
According to him, humanity is not only for humans but also for fellow living beings, especially animals.
"Hopefully, this facility can give new enthusiasm to all personnel and support the performance of K9 animals, thus they are more optimal in helping the performance of the police," he stated.
Besides being used as a facility, it was also expected to become an ecosystem that is useful for the surrounding environment. In addition to being a proper home for dogs, it could be a place for research, student internships, training, and discussions for the community to find solutions and educate.
"Hopefully, this continues to grow. Not only in Jakarta, but also other animal units in the Indonesian National Police can develop like this and treat animals with full humanity," he hoped.
As for the information, the K-9 building consists of 35 animal cages, grooming rooms, dog clinic rooms, equipment and feed personnel rooms, and land ocker rooms, including proper staff rooms.
“I want the K-9 ranks to be proud. You are the best and deserve to be appreciated for protecting the people of Jakarta from all kinds of public order disturbances," he stated.
