We're still deploying personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each area

The Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported that the inundation that occurred in 139 neighborhoods spread across Jakarta had completely receded since 6 PM, Sunday (11/6).

Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji said that the inundation was triggered by the moderate to heavy rains that hit the upstream areas and most areas of Jakarta yesterday.

"The Katulampa Sluice Gate indicates standby 3, Pos Depok standby 3, Pos Anke Hulu standby 2, Pos Sunter Hulu standby 3, and Manggarai Sluice Gate standby 3," he expressed in a written statement.

He explained that the same condition was also seen on ten roads but now the water has receded and the condition is back to normal as usual.

"Together with related regional apparatus organizations, we take immediate action at the inundation locations. It's the same with fallen trees," he explained.

He added that the inundation is still happening in 15 neighborhoods or 0.049% out of 30,470 neighborhoods in Jakarta.

"We're still deploying personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each area and coordinate elements such as the Water Resources (SDA) Agency, Bina Marga Agency, Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat) to carry out suctioning of puddles and ensure the water lines are functioning properly together with local urban village and sub-district heads," he stated.
