After being delayed around three months, the construction of Kampung Duri Market located in Duri Selatan Urban Village, Tambora, West Jakarta, back to be continued. It is predicted to complete in the upcoming April.

In the market, there will be manager office, public toilet, small-mosque, and parking lot

One of employees from PT Wijaya Karya Gedung, Azwar explains the market construction has been ongoing since December 23, 2014. Predictably, the market that has a width of 600 square meters would have 30 kiosks where 20 out of them are in the size of 2x2 square meters. 

"In the market, there will be manager office, public toilet, small-mosque, and parking lot. Previously, the construction has nearly done 30 percent and we just continue it," he told, Monday (2/2).

Surya, (51), one of vendors at Kampung Duri Market hoped the construction can be done as soon as possible. "Frankly, we've been uncomfortable at this shelter," he expressed.

Separately, Head of of PD Pasar Jaya Public Works, Agus Lamun explains besides Kampung Duri Market, there are still four other markets left. They are Pesanggrahan (South Jakarta), Kebon Bawang (North Jakarta), Nangka Bungur (South Jakarta) and Manggis (South Jakarta).

"The cause of delays in such market construction that has spent budget of Rp 50 billion is due to slow disbursement of fund. This construction is a result of compensation of the Benhil Market construction from PT Kurnia Jaya Realty," he uttered.
