Djarot Appreciated Untung Jawa's Health Center Service

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat gave an appreciation to the service of Untung Island's Community Health Center (puskesmas). It was conveyed when Djarot visited to Seribu Islands, Friday (2/6).

He disclosed the ratio between the citizens residential with health center is ideal, thus service can be maximized and its people's health needs fulfilled well. On the island, there are around 2,000 people who are served by two doctors, four midwives, and five nurses.

"The ratio here is ideal, can be referred to primary or special health. Because all citizens can be handled well," he expressed.

One of the good indicators is because the community health center serving patient for 24 hours. Moreover, the doctor's home was right next to the health center. Even, they are not indicated with cases of dengue fever and maternal mortality. "This is because people's health continue to be monitored," said former Mayor of Blitar.

Untung Jawa Island's Community Health Center Doctor, Marco Judika Hutagaol stated that the number of patients is between 25-30 people per day. "Those can still be handled so far. Even, we are also very familiar with them, thus all should be eased while doing counseling," he explained.

He mentions there are two referral hospitals in the island, namely Cengkareng and Koja. If they are unable to handle patients, the patients will be referred to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM). "If there are emergency patients, we will stabilize it first and then referred to the mainland," he uttered.
