Ahok Intends to Purchase Helicopter

If there is budget and approved by the Legislative Council (DPRD), it would be used to purchase the helicopter

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama had a plan to purchase a helicopter as a means of medical transportation in Seribu Islands Regency. The helicopter can be used to evacuate or anticipate certain cases.

"If there is budget and approved by the Legislative Council (DPRD), it would be used to purchase the helicopter," said Ahok, at City Hall, Thursday (12/2).

City to Build IPA in Seribu Islands

He disclosed, his party is also going to ask the private sector to build a resort in Panjang Island, Seribu Islands, to build a helipad. "The helicopter will be operated by the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU)," he expressed.

According to him, such helicopter will be helpful for the patients in the referral Seribu Islands' Community Health Center (Puskesmas) that cannot sail to the hospital in Jakarta due to bad weather. 

"We have also sent medical personnel. The existing doctors must also have a good experience," he finished.
