Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, visited the Interaction Park located on inspection road of the East Flood Canal (KBT), Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Wednesday (2/22).

This park has children's playground

This 1,300-square-meter park is a CSR program of PT Antam Logam Mulia.

Duren Sawit Urban Village Head, Santi Nur Rifiandini expressed the Interaction Park itself was previously an empty land owned by Jakarta Provincial Government but the conditions were unwell and it was often used as a vehicle parking lot, throwing garbage so it looked dirty. Even ever found a snake in the land.

"This park has actually started to open, but we haven't given a schedule of operational times. Insya Allah (God willing), tomorrow, we will give a schedule including for PAUD teachers, thus they can use this park for children's education," she expressed, Wednesday (2/22).

She appreciated PT Antam Logam Mulia that supported the greening and area planning program promoted by the Jakarta Government by transforming the vacant land into a park that is also child-friendly and full of education.

"Hope this is not the end but this is the beginning for and maybe not only the environment but in other fields on an ongoing basis," she added.

PT Antam Logam Mulia General Manager, Purwanto explained this Interaction Park is a form of synergy with the Jakarta Government in order to support the greening program. Principally, companies must support activities that are oriented towards improving the environment to be better.

"This park has children's playground, educational facilities about urban agriculture, rare plants are also available. It provides education because in this city area it is already very difficult to find rare plants," he stated.

On that occasion, the Acting Governor wanted the cooperation with PT Antam Logam Mulia to continuously support the greening of the area, one of which was to look for potential lands in East Jakarta to build a similar park.

"We'll look for other areas in the vicinity and indeed we will continuously coordinate with the local government what the steps will be. The principle strongly supports this activity because it generates benefits for the surrounding community. And we as BUMN must carry out this function as the front pillar to build our region into a green, comfortable and cultured area," he closed.
