Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartoni, planted chili seeds in the Duren Sawit Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Duren Sawit Urban Village, Duren Sawit Sub-district, East Jakarta, Tuesday (1/24).

It is Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to continuously oversee the food security and greening program in the City of Jakarta.
According to him, the plant seeds handover was carried out in cooperation between the Jakarta Government and the National Army (TNI) Strategic Reserves Command. There are 10,000 seeds, consisting of 6,000 chili seeds and 4,000 eggplant seeds that will be distributed to all sub-districts in 6 areas of Jakarta.

He said that today some of the seeds are planted at the Duren Sawit RPTRA. Hopefully, these seeds could grow well and the results could be enjoyed by locals.
Besides RPTRA, those seeds would also be planted in locations that were made into parks as a result of regional planning, including in several locations that require reforestation.
"This Friday, I want to go to South Jakarta, to see two to three points, I want to see (the condition)," he explained.
Besides wanting to succeed in government programs to maintain food security, it also encourages the community to be active in planting productive crops in their environment.
"So, the narrative that we want to build is, for all people to succeed in government programs in maintaining food security. Also, invite and give enthusiasm to the community," he explained.
He then advised all mayors, sub-district heads, and urban village heads to maintain greenery in their respective areas.
"Besides them, I also want the PPSU to look for location points and plant one point 10 seeds. To make Jakarta greener," he added.
