Heru Observes Interaction Park on Inspection Road of Duren Sawit KBT"Today is the umpteenth time I have planted trees and reforested locations belonging to the Jakarta Provincial Government. I thank the residents who have supported us, as this is for residents also to play, interact, and exercise near their homes. I entrust it to be treated for the location that we will build together," he expressed.
He explained the land is located in a densely populated residential area so it is suitable to be used as a green open space for residents' activities. Planting trees and ornamental plants at the site was necessary for reforestation. Therefore, it is targeted to be completed four months ahead.
"There must be water reservoirs or infiltration wells to minimize flooding and then supported by the revitalization of water channels in Kamal Urban Village. I'll discuss it with the Head of the SDA Agency later," he explained.
As for the information, the Tegal Alur Park green space would be developed into a park with functions as a sensory park, children's playground, sports park, cultural park, and green and blue open spaces.
Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency Head, Bayu Meghantara uttered that a sensory park is a garden that has the function to stimulate the five human senses, thus they can work more sensitively.
He explained this park could provide many benefits such as learning, socializing, healing, and refreshment, including as a place for sensory integration therapy for autistic children.
Moreover, the Tegal Alur Park RTH would be completed with Children's Playground Facilities (CPG), sports fields, and facilities for community events.
"The Sensory Park concept was chosen because its concept is not widely available in parks in Jakarta, especially parks," he said.
